Fabric texture silicone sheets are widely used in industrial machinery, heat press equipment, food processing lines, and anti-slip working surfaces. Many customers choose this type of silicone sheet because of its excellent heat resistance, flexibility, and textured anti-slip surface.
However, after several months of continuous use, some customers may notice that the surface gradually becomes less slip-resistant.
Recently, one of our customers from Germany contacted us about this issue.
They were using fabric texture silicone sheets on an automated packaging machine operating at high temperatures for long hours every day. After around six months, the surface friction noticeably decreased, especially when oil and dust accumulated on the sheet.
The customer was concerned that the silicone sheet quality had degraded.
After checking the working environment and application details, we found that the main reason was not product failure, but long-term surface wear combined with oil contamination. In high-frequency industrial operations, the textured surface can gradually become smoother, reducing the original anti-slip performance.
To solve the problem, we suggested three practical solutions.
First, regularly clean the silicone sheet surface using alcohol or neutral cleaners to remove oil residue and dust buildup.
Second, for high-friction applications, we recommended using a higher hardness and wear-resistant silicone material.
Third, if the equipment continuously operates under high pressure and temperature, replacing the silicone sheet periodically can help maintain stable performance and production safety.
After adjusting the material specification and maintenance schedule, the customer reported that the anti-slip performance improved significantly and the equipment operation became more stable.
Fabric texture silicone sheets are highly durable products, but choosing the correct hardness, thickness, and surface texture for the actual working environment is extremely important.
If you are experiencing surface wear, shrinkage, whitening, or slipping problems with silicone sheets, selecting the right industrial-grade silicone material can greatly extend service life and reduce downtime.
