1. Clamp connection
Clamp connection is a common method of connecting silicone pipes, which involves inserting the rubber hose into the pipe joint, then placing the clamp over the pipe joint and compacting it at the outer edge to ensure that the pipe does not fall off. The advantage of this connection method is its simple structure, convenient installation, and suitability for some less demanding situations, such as household water purifiers.
However, the disadvantages of clamp connections are also very obvious. Firstly, the tightness of the connection is insufficient, which may lead to water leakage. Secondly, the clamps are prone to loosening and require regular maintenance and upkeep.
2. Fixture connection
Fixture connection is another commonly used method of connecting silicone tubes, which involves fixing a metal fixture onto the tube joint to clamp the silicone tube inside the fixture. This connection method is more secure and has higher safety performance than clamp connection, and is suitable for situations with high requirements for connection quality, such as food processing, medical equipment, and other fields.
The strength and sealing of the fixture connection are relatively good, but its installation is more complicated and requires the use of specialized tools for installation. In addition, the requirements for the connected silicone tubes are relatively high, and special attention should be paid when connecting silicone tubes of different materials and diameters.
3. Threaded connection
Screw connection is a very reliable silicone pipe connection method, which integrates the pipe and joint through threads. This connection method is suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature environments with stricter requirements, such as hydraulic systems, automotive exhaust systems, etc.
The advantages of threaded connection are firm connection, strong reliability, and suitability for hydraulic systems with high peak and valley fluctuations. The disadvantage is that installation is relatively complicated and requires professional tools and skills.
